Undergraduate Psychology Conference

The 32nd Annual LVAIC Undergraduate Psychology Conference will take place on April 22, 2017 at Cedar Crest College. This year’s keynote speaker (late morning/early afternoon) will be Dr. Debra Zellner (Montclair State University), who will talk about her research related to food preference.
The Annual LVAIC Undergraduate Psychology Conference showcases research in Psychology by undergraduate students from the Lehigh Valley and surrounding regions. Each year the conference is hosted by one of the LVAIC institutions. The past three hosts have been DeSales University (2014), Lehigh University (2015), and most recently Moravian College (2016). Last year, students gave 20 oral and 13 poster presentations on topics in social, developmental, educational, health, cognitive, and gender psychology. The Psychology keynote speaker was Dr. Catherine Bagwell, an established researcher in developmental psychology/psychopathology from Colgate University, who addressed the importance peer relations and friendships in childhood, adolescence, and emerging adulthood.
Registration will be held from 8-9 a.m, with the Neuroscience Keynote speaker starting at 9 -10 a.m. After the Neuroscience Keynote, Paper Presentations will be shown from 10:15- 11:15 a.m. The Psychology Keynote speaker will be from 11:30-12:30 p.m. With Lunch following from 12:30-2 p.m. The Poster session will be held from 2-3 p.m. with Paper Presentations being from 3:15- 4:15 p.m. Finally, the Alumnae Reception will be from 4:15- 5:30 p.m.
