Community Archives: Two African American Women, Their Differences & the Thread That Binds
Join us as our presenter, Rayah Levy, compares the lives of Gloria Naylor and Esther M. Lee and shares the insights that she has gained from working with the archival collections of both. Additionally, this presentation will address questions relating to archival appraisal (whose collections are important and when should collections be accessioned to an archive), and the need to preserve marginalized voices in our communities.
