Connecting and Collaborating, LVAIC Welcomes New Employees to the Consortial Community
December 7, 2018, @ 2:18 PM

Attendees of the LVAIC New Employee Welcome Reception gather in the home of Lehigh University’s president to connect and network.
Each year, LVAIC offers a welcoming reception for new members of the LVAIC community. This reception is hosted on a rotating basis by the different presidents within the consortium. This year, John Simon, President of Lehigh University, hosted nearly 70 faculty and staff in his home on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.
This group gathered to network, connect with peers from across all disciplines of the LVAIC community, and learn more about the opportunities available to them through the consortium. President Simon welcomed the group, highlighting the value of the collaboration that occurs across the Lehigh Valley.
These events sow the seeds of connection that lead to collaborative initiatives throughout the LVAIC community. As these higher education professionals connect, they find common ground, share ideas, inform best practices, and provide the framework for building the higher education community in the region. As LVAIC facilitates these opportunities, it furthers its goals around maximizing resources through sharing while enhancing the skills of faculty and staff.
