ACL Panel Discussion: Consortia 101 – Everything you wished you knew when you started

Working in a higher ed consortium is different from working for a higher ed institution or working in other types of non-profit organizations. While it is often said within ACL, “When you’ve seen one consortium, you’ve seen one consortium,” highlighting the uniqueness of each approach to collaboration, there are some shared qualities, structures, and experiences. A panel of three consortia staff members in different roles, at different levels of consortia experience, will join in conversation with our moderators to share all the things they wish they had known about consortial work on day one.

Moderators:
Deborah Obalil, Executive Director of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art & Design; and Aaron Wilson, Director of Programs and Financial Aid at Tulsa Higher Education

Panelists:
Cate Harriman, Program Manager – Boston Library Consortium
Lisa Fiore, Strategic Partnership Director – LVAIC
Beth Rushing, Executive Director – ACA

This panel discussion is a cross between a coffee chat and a webinar; it is an informal discussion style, but with panelists, and it will be recorded.
