Assessment Without Agony: How AI Can Transform Program Evaluation
Program evaluation is essential – but often overwhelming – for academic leaders tasked with demonstrating alignment, effectiveness, and continuous improvement. This hands-on session introduces practical ways to leverage AI to streamline and strengthen the process. Participants will learn how to build a custom GPT trained on their program’s outcomes and curriculum, generate dynamic matrices that clearly link program outcomes to school and university goals, and identify artifacts that serve as meaningful evidence of student learning. We will also explore how AI can assist in revising assignments to better reflect outcomes and in creating rubrics or rubric categories for more consistent evaluation. Designed especially for Chairs, Deans, and Program Directors, this workshop offers immediately applicable strategies to reduce the burden of program assessment while enhancing clarity, alignment, and impact.

The session is scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 20th from 12-1 pm, with the option to attend in-person (Reeves Library Room 212) or via Zoom.
