LAFAYETTE | Towards Abolitionist Teaching Tools
January 19, 2022, @ 9:22 AM
Wednesday, February 23, 12 – 1 pm EDT
How can we move away from punitive measures in the classroom and focus on learning and individualized student success? In this workshop led by Professor Nandini Sikand, we will look at pedagogical practices through an abolitionist lens such as attendance policies, ungrading and assignment deadlines, and class participation and overall health of the student. This session will also kick off the virtual ungrading community of practice that will meet approximately monthly in March, April, and May with the possibility of extending into the next academic year.
If you are interested in attending the February 23rd session and/or joining the community of practice please complete the registration link.
