LVAIC CITI Program Offers Professional IRB Training to Faculty, Students
April 16, 2018, @ 8:00 AM
The LVAIC CITI (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative) is a digital training opportunity for faculty, staff, or students seeking high quality, peer-reviewed, web-based educational courses in research, ethics, regulatory oversight, responsible conduct of research, research administration, and more.
This program allows for members of the LVAIC community to achieve professional training to prepare for research students without needing to leave their campus, office, or dorm room. This program offers courses in Conflicts of Interest, IRB Administration, Basic IRB Management as a Refresh, and RCR Basics. The program allows users to select areas of specialization for coursework, complete modules in those specific areas, and to go back for re-training whenever necessary. All of these benefits are available through a joint LVAIC contact with the CITI program, allowing exclusive access to members of LVAIC institutions while affording that access due to the collaborative nature of the consortium. This is another example of LVAIC maximizing its resources to benefit the members of the entire community, one professional development opportunity at a time.
