As you prepare for being able to teach effectively in both the physical classroom and online environment, LVAIC is hosting a community-wide virtual book read of Small Teaching Online by Darby and Lang. It will consist of a series of three facilitated discussions around three different components of the book. This will culminate with a 90 minute presentation and Q&A with the author, Flower Darby, on June 30, 2pm – 3:30pm.
An electronic copy of the book will be available through each campus library. Click on the link below for your respective institution. Note: you will need your institutional login.

There will be 3 different day/time options for each of the 3 facilitated discussions. Registrants will be asked to choose an option for each week. Sessions will follow the natural divisions of the book (Designing for Learning, Teaching Humans, Motivating Online Students and Instructors).
For each session, attendees should read the relevant pages and come prepared to engage in a facilitated discussion. After each session, attendees will be encouraged to think about how they can apply the content they discussed to their upcoming courses.
