Designed to support the ongoing professional development of our LVAIC managers and supervisors
The program consists of three certificate tracks focused on:
- Understanding Self – see below!
- Managing Others – coming soon!
- Managing Work – coming soon!
Within each track there will be four different learning sessions that can be completed at any time and in any sequence. Learning sessions will be presented in a variety of ways including in-person, virtual and/or self-paced learning.
Additional Information:
- The time commitment required to complete the Understanding Self Track is 20 hours.
- The cost to participate in the program is covered as part of your campus’ commitment to LVAIC’s budget for professional development.
- Completion of equivalent workshops outside of LVAIC may be considered towards track completions – email us for more info.
- The completion of each track will be recognized quarterly through a digital certificate of completion and recognition in LVAIC publications.

If you have completed the requirements for a track, you can enter your eligibility by completing the following form. You may fill out the form as you complete each session, or as you complete all of them.

No, if you would prefer, you can complete the form every time you complete a session.
Yes! The Tracks are meant to be completed in order. Some skills learned in Track 1 will be further developed in Track 2, and then Track 3.
Yes, you will as long as you attended all of the sessions, or worked with one of the LVAIC staff to catch up on the session you missed. LVAIC does keep track of your attendance at each of the sessions you sign up for.
No, the items within a particular track can be done in any order, this is not a cohort-based program.
That is dependent on each participant and their ability to attend the individual programs.
At a minimum each session will be offered one time a semester.
If we need to cancel a session for any reason (low registration, etc.) we will do our best to reschedule for another time and will include prior registrants with notification of the new day/time.
Yes, each quarter we will be issuing digital certificates for those who have completed the components of a track and have entered their information into the eligibility form.
