Student Affairs Wrap Up

On March 3rd Elisabeth Gareis, a professor at Baruch College, gave a presentation focusing on International Student success. Professor Gareis was able to provide valuable insight, for faculty and staff, of the struggles our international students are experiencing. Specifically professor Gareis focused on enrollment trends, intercultural Friendship, career prospects and our Political Climate. Our goal was to raise awareness of these struggles, while continuing to promote collaboration between our campuses. We are proud to announce that this half day workshop was successful in helping international students succeed.
This workshop explored this topic and provide participants with an opportunity to:
- Network with colleagues from across the LVAIC institutions
- Examine ways to better serve the needs of international students
- Identify opportunities for future collaboration and shared resources for all students
